The Nostr community is tech enthusiasts and early adopters. It's a special bunch. The same was true for early Twitter and (now I'm dating myself) early Flickr. Then the normies join and everything goes to shit. Hate to say this, but the same will probably happen here.

I am fairly new to Nostr myself, surprised to hear people suggesting that Bitcoin talk is a turn off. For me Bitcoin talk is the main reason I'm here. Good to see I'm not alone.
Nostr (the way I understand it) is all about sovereignty and self-control. To ask for the app to impose limits on the user's usage for their own good goes counter to all that.
