But that is not the reason for creatives to be on #nostr .. it is just tooling .
The reason is exponential network growth - if you get 300 audience of your work .. in three years it will be 30,000 ..without you having to do any upwork ... why ?
A creative project has four layer
- Creation : Typically a desktop app - Audacity , GIMP , Vim , VScode .. there are hundreds of them if not thosands ... each with its vibe .. comfort ..
- Content Management : where you store , edit or play your artifacts - creative cloud , github , podcast
- Social :
- Portfolio : a page or legacy web site to showcase your work - music , podcast page - unique theme , real fan base lives here

well... dot com comes becuase when it was registered there was no other way .. may be .org was there but that felt like you were starting a cult :-)
Shutri is a Hindi word that is based on Sanskrit Shruti .. In Vaidik times the written word was called Smriti ( memory) becuase it was kinda commited to public memory for ever ... the spoken word that passed through generations were called "Shruti" .. knowledge passed through recital .. not to be confused with "word of mouth "
Later on - the slang got more popular - in that sense Shutri means sheer exaggerations .. verbosity ... for example if, as a believer , you said #Bitcoin will be ten million dollars ..next year .. A normie would say - that is a "shutri" ...
I guess the slang is kinda appropriate for my #nostr feed - cuz that is what I do here - making grand plans and predictions that are ..well Shutries :-)

Growing Nostr is hard. Not because we don't have the tools, but because it requires the hard work of many of us, not just the few. Decentralization is great, however this means that no centralized growth team is going to step in and do the work that's needed. We'll have to rely on a multitude of people to accomplish this. These people will be cultivating and nurturing Nostr's growing ecosystem. They're seeking out unique communities, on-boarding new users, and educating them on the tools at hand, so that new users can create their own spaces on Nostr.
These have been initiatives of mine since the beginning days here. I love building communities, helping people use technology, and speaking about my passions.

We spoke at extent last week about her current project. She volunteered at the Nostr Booth that I organized at nostr:npub167n5w6cj2wseqtmk26zllc7n28uv9c4vw28k2kht206vnghe5a7stgzu3r a few months ago, got purple pilled in the process, and is now planning on doing similar initiatives at three Latin American conferences coming up soon.
I had a conversation with the organizer of LaBitConf in Prague, who expressed a strong interest in having a Nostr presence at his upcoming conference. He asked that I replicate the same level of involvement he witnessed in Prague, including a booth, speakers, panels, and more. He clearly recognized the significance of Nostr and was eager to feature it prominently at his event. Unfortunately, I had to decline, as itâs not feasible for me to attend every conference. However, this is where the strength of the Nostr community comes inâothers can step up and make it happen.

npub.pro is the best way to expose nostr to your circle of influence .. out side nostr .. it brings them right to nostr log-in door .. without any preaching whatsoever ..

Why? How is this possible?
Because our money is fundamentally broken.
When the government/central bank cartel prints money out of thin air, the purchasing power of the monetary unit (e.g. the U.S. dollar) goes down.
This is called âinflation.â
When centralized powers are in control of the monetary system, they will *always* debase the currency. The efficiency/productivity gains of technology (which should be making everything cheaper to buy) are stolen from you.
This is why #Bitcoin is so important. There will only ever be 21 million bitcoin and no one can print more.
When you save in Bitcoin, you benefit from the deflationary gains of technology. The things you want to buy get cheaper over time when priced in Bitcoin, not more expensive like when prices in any fiat currency.
When you save in fiat currency, your purchasing power shrinks.
When you save in Bitcoin, your purchasing power grows.
Govs must dilute the currencies to pay subsidies to farmers , and miners and any other commodities ... plus they need to pay for the defence .. law and order ..
In a scarce fixed supply monetary system - no rational person will work on mass production - it doesn't make sense because the value is attached to scarcity ..
That said - are govs free from mismanagement or vested interest - of course no ... there is always room for improvement .. but that improvement is NOT going back to Gold or going forward to Bitcoin alone ..
Currencies and Money are two wheels of the system - we need both ..

imo - such people are living in past .. #bitcoin is the future of money .. it is by far the most ambitious technology ever .. compared to it online retail or social media or Evs are pigmies .. like all ambitious flights , bitcoin does come with enormous risk ... so ..one has to find their comfort zone ... I don't subscribe either to Maxi thinking or the opposite :-)
