Yo, it is INCREDIBLE to play with bigger screen possibilities for nostr:npub17tyke9lkgxd98ruyeul6wt3pj3s9uxzgp9hxu5tsenjmweue6sqq4y3mgl!! π₯π₯π
For now this 320x240 ili9341 is the sweet spot. Bigger, much easier to read, smooth framerate, and I've already adapted the code to handle the 3:2 aspect ratio.
The tiny Waveshare display hat has served us well, but a new wave of better, cooler build possibilities will be on the horizon!

If I try to push even more pixels -- 320x480 (ili9486) -- we hit some hard performance limits of the available python drivers out there.
For now the above 320x240 experiments look awesome enough, so I'm not placing a high priority on higher resolution screens.

Though by using some naive "improvements" I did get better framerates. But with some tradeoffs...

3.a. Caustically ironically: the Japanese Americans in Hawaii were NOT interned.

Aside for those not well-versed in the history: My grandparents were all natural born citizens (we've been in the US since 1898!), but they were forced into detainment -- worse, the Supreme Court said, "ya, okay, take away their rights."
Bitcoiners should absolutely be engaged with policy issues. Shout out to BPI (are they not on nostr?).
But I can't stomach seeing Bitcoiners aggressively simp for specific politicians. I left facebook years ago, partially to escape all the normies / friends / family shitting on each other from their hopelessly entrenched political bunkers.
Bitcoiners who are constantly trying to inject that normie bullshit noise into my attention bubble will get blocked out of it.
The problem is that you posted in the future: December 2024.
So for the rest of us, your first post doesn't even exist yet. Once our spacetime reality catches up to yours, I'm sure you'll see more engagement.
#timetravelerproblems
Haven't gone that far. Just cutting down on the noise as best I can.
Getting Bitcoiner politics tf outta my Elon hellscape feed.

Trivia / minor survival skill: do you know how to use the Big Dipper to find Polaris (the North Star)?
I APPRECIATE YOU!!! π«
Take a break from all the fiat destruction news and note:
BREAKING: nostr:npub1kumadawgefxjt2c293whsan5sfmdg5tylm0uk39enc6uxxfy5m4scrz2v7 can SWIM*!!

I had NO IDEA what she'd do, but she crushed it! πΆβ€οΈ

Donβt mess with Texas.

The Illinois lawsuit paid out directly to residents. TX is pocketing its proceeds instead?

Whoa, August 1st sounds WAY later in the year than July 31st.
Ha, actually no! I've always been tempted, but the pump tap column of the kegs I've seen would get in the way of a proper handstand.
INTENSE nostr:npub1rpes5hhk6mxun5ddt5kecxfm8y3xdr0h5jwal32mc6mxafr48hxsaj2et2 advocacy here or mebbe just a Primal bug?

I KNOW LIKE THREE `git` COMMANDS AND IF THEY DON'T WORK I'M PARALYZED WITH FEAR!!!!
I once tried to drink something while in a handstand. Throats don't like pushing against gravity. It did kinda hurt.
nostr:npub1r7psmkr4zv93xnal8un6d8hvmpsn5jvhfzn3kk38rfcel6awznks7znspg was ready to murder us in Nashville when we shot down his request (demand) to go to a steakhouse!
So, ya, really strong cow vibes while on vacation after all!
I don't know what the abbreviated/fun spelling for "vacation" should be ("vacay"? "vaycay"?), but it isn't "cow".

Don't trust, verify!
According to my calculator, the math checks out.
(caveat: that was just an experimental branch that I never intended to PR into the main repo. I do want to pull over the bip39 mnemonic-to-nsec derivation, but the other nostr-related functions don't really make sense in an air-gapped signer. It'd be different if nip26 had become widely adopted, but alas, good key management in nostr was not to be (not that nip26 was perfect either, though))
SOUNDS wonderful, but mostly didn't live up to the modest cravings I've had. Beer mostly tasted gross. And I generally felt pretty shitty after each carby meal.
Getting pretty dang easy to just leave carbs behind.
