I’ve been listening to interviews/discussions about bitcoin for quite a while. It’s a great way to hear different perspectives. But it’s incredibly frustrating when hosts constantly interrupt their guests so much so that the guests never have a chance to finish their thoughts and then completely get off track without making their point. If you’re a host, please wait for an appropriate pause to indicate your guest has finished speaking. Otherwise it just looks like the only reason you have the guest on is for you to have someone to speak to while you make your points and share your opinions.

closed source custodial nostr clients are a threat to users and during these early days of nostr adoption represent an existential threat to nostr

if a non sovereign client or tool accrues significant market share they could potentially use their control over users to influence the greater network or bifuricate it

nostr is permissionless and we cannot stop people from shipping whatever tools they want but it highlights the importance of rapid development of freedom focused foss clients and tools

this is my main focus, supporting the individuals building out the freedom tech tools we sorely need, momentum is strong, incredibly hopeful, we must continue to push forward 🫡

Bitcoin doesn't just use hash functions, #bitcoin itself is a one-way hash function! Once you grok it, no currency put in is ever coming back out into fiat.

Sucks of course, wouldn't be down 10% immediately if I had waited 1 day. But I'm thinking I just need to buy more (but I maxed out my deposit limit in that smash buy). Have to wait a week or use another site, not ideal.
