The odd thing is that when I paste emojis in Word directly it turns them into images, but not visible ones. In Excel the same thing happens.

I then pasted in WhatsApp > the red heart shows without needing to send to activate.

I pasted them in Signal > they all show well except the read heart which renders an image.

Going full nerd here, help! 🤣

After 5 classes way back in 2010, the students told me they wanted to learn InDesign as well.

I said "No, I don't do that."

"Why not?"

"It's stupid, I don't like it. I don't feel comfortable with it."

"But we want to learn from you!"

"I only do it under pressure for at least 12 students." I said.

The next week, they had plotted against me. 12 applied, all for InDesign. So, I did it.

After all these years I have written three InDesign courses and feel comfortable enough to crack jokes in them ❤

Gosh, this takes me back to a class years ago when I warned about QR codes; they can, unfortunately, so easily be misused because there is no visible text and a child, and even adults, can be tricked into visiting something they don't want to visit.

After picking figs like crazy, they are now past picking 😊

They started hatching the teeny tiny worms so, no, thank you. This also means that basically, there are teeny tiny eggs in figs. Should I care? Nah 😊

The ripe figs, as every year, were spotted by the atalanta (so few, so very few) and of course; the wasps! They are welcome to enjoy them. Bees are even more welcome.

The tree used to be heavy with drunk atalantas but this no longer happens. I treasure the ones I see.

It also was a century of marvels with incredibly useful inventions.

I think many inventions came before solid science and inventors just winging it at times (cool: radio-active toys!). Facts followed fun. Add that to the urge to accumulate wealth and to translate that into power and it was a recipe for a perfect storm.
