These next two weeks on the internet are going to be the worst two weeks on the internet in the history of the internet.

Still trying to get into the habit of playing around with Nostr. Fundamentally and philosophically, I do like the idea. Still not clear the market will agree.

At first I thought Nostr missed an opportunity at a common colloquialism and, by adding a simple “a” at the end and making it “Nostra,” it could have been referenced as some iteration of “Ours” or “Our Protocol.” But then I realized the goal here is to attract people to use the protocol and, if outsiders already think crypto-bros are annoying, then a first look at a feed full of some sort of wannabe mob-bro/crypto-bro hybrids would have made for a first impression that would be impossible to overcome.
