[ENG/GER] NOT a bitcoiner/stacker/maxi. I am here to have a damn good time! Rabbithole conniseur; I enjoy random stuff. :D Ex-Furry, (close to) blind, hobby developer/sysadmin, waifu enjoyer, long hair fetish (#hairjob). I sometimes talk about NSFW stuff; because fucking is fun =) (DMs always open.)

fuuuuuuuuuuuck now i am VIOLENTLY hungry. O_O

I am not a stacker, not a ("real") coiner, not a superduper noderunner or anything.

But, I am something else: Consistently noting hard.

Yessssssss. I got to leave early cuz I had +3h ^^ So hecc why not use it!

"As documented in the ticket..."

"I had left a note on your desk..."

"As found in the last meeting's protocol..."

In nixland you do:

- Search the whole nixpkgs for that one entry you need

- Then try to remember the proper nix-env syntax or squeeze it into your configuration

- Then do either "nix-env -f '' -iA $thing" or "nixos-rebuild switch" and make a coffee.

I like how Nix is declarative and thus "static" ion its own way - but holy crap does it take foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeever x.x I am glad they are working on nix-command for everything and hopefuly reverse-aliasing pkgs so "nix install i2pd" will install it - *fast*.

Still learning it though - chances are, I am still overlooking things...

Mood. :D

I have some good fun pointing at a maxi and going, "haha lol", but I also know that I kinda need them and it'd be much more boring without them - so I am actually glad they are around, and not in a bad way either. Rather would I read that, then whatever Insta, Facebite and Xitter produce these days.

Heck, I configured my Twitter to literally only show me as few tweets as possible via lists. xD

#MostlyNostr ^^

One of the "sad" things in 2023, was GeoffPlaysGuitar stopped to do covers. Guess a game studio has now fully picked him up and absorbed him into corpoworld. Argent Metal aint the same without him imho.

I just remembered; ATProto is supposed to be a federated, "own your keys" thing. Well clearly, its not. Not that I have read too deep in their specs (because my brain imploded and exploded at insane rates while trying to make sense of their structs) but when you can get banned and locked out of your account - those are clearly not your keys, imo. o.o

Nostr fixes this, literally.

I just found out that my TV's homebrew loader was partially bugged. Well, turns out i FOROT a simple & at the end of my launch script to send dinit into the background and hung the whole thing up XD Welp! Works now - no more update notifications. In fact, those update notifications is what tripped me; because part of the script is to edit the hosts file to block them and the update server.

Well, that problem is now gone. ^.^

I love how smooth this is though, once dinit kicks in, all my stuff just pops up and is right there; NAS usb drive... everything. So good. SyncThing too! ^^

Only weird thing: It is a 64bit CPU, but the whole OS is compiled in 32bit binaries O_o... makes no sense. That's a proprietary blackbox for ya.

A song for the german #coffeestr folks out there.

Performance might be ass because for some reason I can't get I2Pd to go faster... but, oh well. Here we go. *iiiiiiinhales.*

I run a #relay in #i2p!

It might go poof if my strfry docker container decides so x) It runs at home, not at my VPS, and is not linked to my "production" relay.

hair... o.o? You mean their avatars/pfps?

I want a scriptable SMB share that dynamically decompresses .gz/.7z files as it streams them to the client, so I can compress my retro ROM library even further and still have my stuff on the network have great access to the raw data.

Especially something like the Wii would benefit from not having to do the decompressing on-site but have it done remotely. Unfortunately, USBLoaderGX only seems to do SMB... v2 at least, methinks. o.o
