Not an extension per-se, but:
- Windows has a built-in screen reader which you can trigger with a keyboard shortcut to read highlighted text. Enable Reader-Mode in your browser, then just ctrl-a the text and follow that with the voice narrator shortcut.
- Alternatively, you could look into NVDA - no, not NV[I]D[I]A. NVDA is a screen reader written in python - chances are, it has a feature that can solve the thing you are looking for. If it can not, I am sure people there can point you in a good direction, as most users of NVDA are blind and heavy TTS users - so, chances are, they have seen a thing or two. Or...well, heared. o.o
The past week or so, I came home and just immediately grabbed my controller to continue FF7 Rebirth. So, actually being on my PC feels a little weird for a change. ^^; But hey, worked as a great detox-ish thing; got my sleep, and also got a little away from the onslaught of news - which is quite healthy to do once in a while.

All that's left is for some alpine maintainer to tell me whats missing in the docs so I can bootstrap a repo and start building myself stupid untill I have 3.19. This image has all that one would need to start building - it even launches straight into the abuild home directory with passwordless sudo (because let's be real, this container will spin up and down so many times, setting a password would be a chore in itself) and many tools, including lua and luarocks because abuild itself already needed that.
I will start putting these things on github asap. =)
