If it's not laundered they are stealing the resources through the banking system, set up specifically to make developing nations fail their loans, and then use alternative payment methods such as land or trade goods
US taxpayer's money was laundered through Ukraine and back into the hands of the big corporation and lobbyists, WW2 was the same until JP Morgan thought they wouldn't get their money back, due to the allies beginning to fail in the war, entering the US to WW2
Today's thought process, A Michael Jordan signed t-shirt sold for $500k, why because it's a rare asset, it holds value, a time in history, a symbol of one man's time & energy in a career at the peak of performance
Those with wealth buy these items to show their friends but also to hold the value of their wealth as the rare t-shirt goes up in value
Like when a musician dies the record becomes worth more, it's scarce and scarcity is value
