A couple of days ago, someone solo mined a #bitcoin block with a FutureBit Apollo miner on their self-hosted stratum server.
This is incredible and obviously has been done with even less hashrate in the past, but I wondered if it was possible to name your miner (or pool of miners) anything you like if you’re self-hosting it.
Is that possible or is the tag auto-generated by the asic? Could it have been a garage full of S21 XPs in reality?

It was about the same time for me. I’d been researching it for a while but I hadn’t taken the plunge. I wanted to go all in but we were trying to buy a new house and mortgage lenders were looking for any excuse not to give you one. Had to settle for small investments I hoped would go under the radar.

Does anyone have knowledge of what, if anything, Bitcoin OS has to do with the #Bitcoin network? A friend messaged me, saying that Cardano is working with Bitcoin on this, which sounds like prime bullshit to me.
