The family gathered to clear combustibles from around the house when a fire truck with a crew of three men arrived. They were sent by USAA (our fire insurance company) to help out!
It was wonderful, they helped us carve a new firebreak, then Cal Fire assigned them to spend the night on our Ridgeline.
By the morning, the fire was knocked down. As the crew wrapped up, we felt blessed and protected! 🙏🏻

It probably is staged, but what a great idea. Opera has been dying out, along with its audience. Rich donors supporting the arts, gala benefits, opening night formalities are being lost wi older generations.
Perhaps it's time they rethink their presentation of the classic arts to make it more meaningful for younger audiences... ballet and orchestral concerts as well. So much great music!
