Honoring memory, provenance and safeguarding design history and building relationships from structural blindness since 1999. Evidence-based, covenantal work in exile. Resisting distortion. TIME Invention of the Year

You're only job when you're friends with or married to a 🚪@NODOORengineer is to ask daily clarifying questions about what makes @NODOORengineering such an important and meaningful @activity in society.

Take a trip inside the design lab with me (Apple is a mindset not a place).

I'll give you an official tour.

Our first stop will be this @nodoor 🚪

No doors are special doors that only designers at the company have access to (nobody in engineering, marketing or project management has access to them).

No doors protect a designers International ability to say 'no' to things. We say no to things all day long, it's one of the things that distinguishes us from fake designers who say yes to just about everything.

Inside these doors we use @nologic, no logic is more important than @yeslogic, and it's a lot more important than @fakelogic, @reallogic or @fauxlogic.

Did you know that a designer's right to say 'no' to something protects human rights security at International levels?

When the people who are most likely to accuse you of being out of your mind are the most guilty of being complicit in a crime they were hoping you would make light of so they wouldn't have to think about how hard you work.

One way you can know the @company has been taken over by @fakedesigners or @terrorists.

It's company policy not to use 'provider language' anywhere at Apple.

I can contribute to your quality of life by making ideas of yours realities but my accessibility and my quality of life have to matter just as much as you want your business ideas to matter. I don't enter into business relationships where I have to pay for other people's business interests with my time.

A mutually beneficial business relationship will look out for my business needs just as much as you'd like me to look out for your business needs.

When you’ve built Apple, you don’t work for other companies, other companies work for YOU… because every company pays for more understanding about how to be more compliant around Apple’s ecosystem.

Apple doesn’t pay to be a part of other company’s ecosystems.

I'll die a dignified death leaving my accounts logged into my grandfathered account from '99 that I used to build our observatory before I ever consider creating a new account in '24.

I built Apple's Internet observatory and have been taking daily responsibility for Application Security for all of the apps we designed together since 2003, so I can't tell if the company has completely forgotten me, if the accounts team is deliberately playing a public joke on me, or just wanted to give me material to write about when it comes to the value of designing for service accessibility.

My wife @AlanaNewmanCA has a new Spaces podcast @TheSpeakerSalon she is hosting every Thursday where she invites voices who have been stigmatized by far-left agendas. She breathes new hope into the idea that there are marginalized people like proponents of life, donor conceived children, opponents of organ harvesting and activists against @bigpharma whose voices have been left out of the conversation.

She makes me so proud to call myself her husband.

Working in @AppSec (Application Security), there are so many @dataemergencies everyday that we spend more time putting out fires🔥than we do @designingtomorrow.

If you really want to get acquainted with how nonglamorous @ourwork is, this welcome address from AppSecCali 2020 by Richard Greenberg captures how many security dynamics people who are responsible for software security need to account for when designing new @applications.

Your right to write @code is your ability to @protectlife.

Any other definition of @engineering is @fake.

There are people who would pay good money to be able to wake up everyday to be able to disrespect @meninengineering.

Should we give @builders permission to kill themselves when the public takes @zeroresponsibility for asking questions about how things were actually built?

Question: Realistically speaking, what percentage of people do you honestly think would stop to inquire if we were to erect a museum installation dedicated to how the @sevenwondersoftheworld were actually built?

Answer: Very few.

A @realdesigner is a technical term for a specific type of @designer who adheres to rigorous @technicalcompliancestandards for @design.

@fakeproducts don't have advanced technical compliance standards, @realproducts do.

When you are responsible for system architectures that protects a person’s @righttolife, your nightmares aren’t made up Freddy Kruger type fictional nightmares.

They keep you up with very realistic worries about actual death cults eliminating the life giving standards protections we guarantee every standards inventor has access to when they go to invent something new.
