兵庫県の斎藤元彦知事がパワハラなどの疑惑を内部告発された問題で、片山安孝副知事（６４）が１１日、辞職の意向を固めた。
斎藤知事は前日に県職員労働組合から事実上の辞職を要求され、「県政を立て直すのが私の責任」として職務を全うする考えを示したが、
最側近である副知事が辞職すればさらに窮地に追い込まれることになる。
片山氏は、斎藤知事が２０２１年８月に就任した後の同年９月に副知事に就任。約３年にわたり、斎藤知事を支えてきた。
片山氏は１１日午後、県庁内で斎藤知事と向き合い、「県政が停滞している。自分も責任を取るので、一緒に辞任しませんか」と迫ったという。
片山氏はこれまでも斎藤知事に再三、辞職か出直し選挙に打って出るよう伝えてきた。
しかし、斎藤知事はこの日も「県民の負託を受けている。辞めるという選択肢はない」と答えたという。
