Bluesky’s staging channel for their web client is out: https://staging.bsky.app
It will actually depend on whether or not Bluesky will let you view posts on their platform without actually being logged in. We’ll just have to see.
So the staging channel for the Bluesky Social Wrapper is now open: https://staging.bluewrapper.pages.dev
I’m planning to implement the last few things that aren’t in yet on there and then I’ll push it to main. That will be one of the last updates I’ll make to the wrapper, as the release of Bluesky’s actual web client is estimated to come out in ~2 weeks.

So basically, the Oscars happened. Happy that EEAAO got the recognition that it did.
I really need to stop developing the wrapper. Things are getting out of hand.

Thank you to those who are following me at the moment, despite the frequent shitposting. Thankfully I don’t know how many actually are following me unless I manually check, because I’d likely feel bad for how random my feed is.
Just got in to Damus TestFlight. Super excited
Might have to meet in the middle with this one.
So they’re saying that The Owl House will come out on the eighth next month. I predicted the next episode would come out on the 29th, so let’s see who’s right.
Pretty happy with where things are with the wrapper atm. I’ve spent way too much time in the last week developing it, so I’m going to take a break. Might get back to it next week-ish.
Huge update is now out:
- Bookmarking support for both Android & iOS.
- Logo redesign
- Custom handle support
- Mention display support
- Bug fixes
Working on a logo redesign for the wrapper. Some good shit. Or, it might be bad shit, not sure.
Nice new login screen – check it out here: https://blue.amazingca.dev/login
The reason why I’m saying this is because it causes a lot of unnecessary loading times, at least for the current state of the wrapper. I still have other plans, such as finishing the down-up post thread implementation, along with commenting/liking/quoting posts – basically everything else. Those features don’t have as big of a performance impact as including user reposts do.
Nothing crazy added to next version of wrapper, just post quoting. Felt I had to get this one implemented quickly because the app is going to allow the users who don’t directly post using the api to start using the feature. You can view a live demonstration of the feature by viewing this post: https://blue.amazingca.dev/?username=sharding.bsky.social&postid=3jpyxrbn62c2p
For what it’s worth, I’d say it works pretty well. Compared to the other features that have not yet been implemented, I’ve been weighing them on how much new content they bring to the wrapper. Quote embeds are useful because they provide important context. Reposts, on the other hand, only really duplicate content that already exists on the platform.

v1.1 of Damus is out and it is super fucking sweet. 🤙
Yes ik, there’s still tons of things td on there. To be frank, I think that waiting for Bluesky’s actual client to come out is the best bet long term. Because while yes, I could implement all the other things, I’m still considering the legitimate use case by others. So just posts with links/images for now.
