Jesus came to save us, but from what and to what?

Orthodoxy claims the Most High sacrificed Himself (i.e., YHWH is Jesus) because we ate the forbidden fruit, yet humanity's story is more complex. There are more players in the game than we're lead to believe, and some are machinators and egotists.

Only by contrasting the Father revealed in Christ does the evil of YHWH shine through.

Although Marcion recognised YHWH’s power and his control over this world, he complained of his wicked character and refused to worship him as god.

When compared with the supremely good Father, YHWH was one of those falsely named “gods” who, to adapt a Pauline phrase, are “by nature not gods” (Gal 4:8).

Marcion called YHWH “severe, ignorant... capricious... petty, a lover of war,” and “most pitiless.” That he was not good; and a being who lacked goodness, no matter how powerful, could not be [the true] god.

I find it incredibly interesting that Jesus says 'your sacred spirit'. This is a great example of the Holy Spirit simply being the Fathers' Spirit rather than a seperate entity (i.e. breaking the Trinity) which is what I also heard
