Ooo good question. Maybe a Nostrich sticker with “dump the bird for the ostrich” and a QR code to a landing page about how Nostr is different (even though it’s not just a Twitter alternative). Then from there, they’d learn more about permissionless protocols, and come to Bitcoin through that route. I’m becoming more and more convinced that Bitcoin has become a tainted term for so many people, that theyd need to see the value of it through something like a Nostr client to “get it.”

The purpose of taxes is to pay for things that benefit the public as a whole that people wouldn’t pay for on their own because it’s not in their narrow self-interest. How many people would choose to take money out of their paycheck to fund current senior citizens’ Social Security benefits, if it were up to them? You’d end up with a tragedy of the commons situation and little to no public infrastructure
