Name: Ebonheart Pendant

Wondrous Item (pendant), rare (requires attunement)

Description:

The Ebonheart Pendant is a striking piece of jewelry crafted from a polished black gemstone, set within a silver pendant adorned with intricate arcane symbols. Despite its small size, the gem pulsates with a deep, inner glow, casting shadows in its immediate vicinity. When held, the pendant emits a faint, almost imperceptible hum, resonating with the ancient magic imbued within.

Properties:

Shadow Cloak: While attuned to the Ebonheart Pendant, you gain the ability to summon a shroud of shadow around yourself. As an action, you can activate the pendant to cast the Darkness spell centered on yourself without requiring concentration. This effect lasts for 1 minute and can be used once per long rest.

Shadowstep: Once per short rest, when you are in dim light or darkness, you can use a bonus action to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see that is also in dim light or darkness. This ability allows you to traverse through shadows with ease, evading obstacles and adversaries alike.

Umbral Grasp: While wearing the pendant, you can cast the Mage Hand cantrip at will, with the added effect that the spectral hand appears as a shadowy extension of yourself. This hand can manipulate objects and perform tasks within its range, allowing you to interact with the environment from a distance.

Activation:

The Ebonheart Pendant requires attunement by a creature with a Charisma score of 13 or higher.

Curse:

If a creature of good alignment attempts to attune to the Ebonheart Pendant, they are overcome with a sense of foreboding and unease. The pendant grows cold to the touch, and the shadows it casts deepen, suffusing the area with an oppressive darkness. The creature feels an overwhelming urge to seek out and embrace the shadows, becoming consumed by darkness. The pendant rejects the creature, breaking the attunement and rendering itself nonmagical until attuned by a creature of neutral or evil alignment.

If anyone enjoys these items/spells or uses them in their campaigns, let me know! I love creating these, and all feedback is appreciated - if you get some use out of these new magic items and spells, or just feel like supporting in general, BTC tips are gratefully accepted and appreciated.

All the best to everyone - and if you don't play #ttrpg or #DnD yet, give it a go!

Name: Chronomancer's Hourglass

Wondrous Item (hourglass), legendary (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

Description:

The Chronomancer's Hourglass is an exquisite timepiece of unparalleled craftsmanship, its exterior adorned with intricate golden filigree and shimmering gemstones. Within its glass chamber, a cascade of shimmering sand flows in an otherworldly rhythm, defying the conventional laws of time. When held, the hourglass emits a faint, rhythmic hum, resonating with the arcane energies imbued within.

Properties:

Temporal Manipulation: As an action, you can command the hourglass to manipulate time around you. You can choose one of the following effects:

Hasten: You accelerate time for yourself, gaining an additional action on your turn. This additional action can only be used to cast a cantrip or make a single attack.

Delay: You momentarily slow time around you, causing all creatures within a 30-foot radius centered on you to have disadvantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks until the start of your next turn.

Temporal Anchor: You stabilize time in a 10-foot radius around you, preventing any creature within that area from teleporting or being affected by spells or abilities that would alter their position until the start of your next turn.

Temporal Shield: While attuned to the Chronomancer's Hourglass, you have advantage on saving throws against spells and effects that manipulate time or alter the flow of time, such as Haste or Slow.

Time Mastery: Once per long rest, you can use an action to turn the hourglass upside down, causing time to briefly rewind. You regain all expended spell slots of 5th level or lower. Additionally, any conditions or effects currently affecting you that have a duration of 1 minute or less are dispelled.

Activation:

The Chronomancer's Hourglass requires attunement by a spellcaster who can cast spells of 5th level or higher.

Curse:

Should a creature attempt to attune to the Chronomancer's Hourglass without the ability to cast spells of 5th level or higher, they become trapped within a temporal loop, reliving the same minute of time for eternity. The hourglass vanishes from existence, along with the unfortunate soul attuned to it.

Name: Wyrmhide Cloak

Wondrous Item (cloak), very rare (requires attunement)

Description:

Crafted from the scales of an ancient dragon, the Wyrmhide Cloak is a magnificent garment that exudes power and majesty. The cloak is made from shimmering scales that shift color depending on the angle of light, ranging from deep crimson to iridescent emerald. Runes of draconic origin are embroidered along its edges, pulsing with arcane energy.

Properties:

Dragonkin's Blessing: While wearing the Wyrmhide Cloak, you have resistance to the damage type associated with the dragon whose scales were used to create the cloak (chosen during attunement). Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws against the Frightful Presence of dragons of the chosen type.

Draconic Ward: As a reaction when you are targeted by a spell that deals damage, you can use the cloak to absorb the incoming magical energy. Roll a d10 and reduce the damage taken by the result plus your Dexterity modifier. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Dragon's Guise: While attuned to the cloak, you can cast the Disguise Self spell at will, with the added effect that you can choose to appear as if you bear dragon-like features, such as scales, horns, or glowing eyes.

Activation:

The Wyrmhide Cloak requires attunement by a creature with the ability to cast spells.

Curse:

If a creature of evil alignment attempts to attune to the Wyrmhide Cloak, the cloak rejects them with a burst of draconic energy, dealing 2d8 force damage to the creature and rendering the cloak nonmagical for them until the next dawn.

A new spell for you today from an old spellcaster...

Spell Name: Ethereal Echo

School: Illusion

Level: 4

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: Self

Components: V, S

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

Description:

With a whispered incantation, you create a semi-real duplicate of yourself that echoes your actions and movements. This duplicate appears in an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you and lasts for the duration or until it drops to 0 hit points.

The ethereal echo resembles you in every way, mirroring your appearance and equipment. It shares your statistics, including AC, hit points, ability scores, and saving throws. However, it cannot take actions, bonus actions, or reactions of its own. Instead, on each of your turns, you can mentally command the echo to move up to its speed and perform one of the following actions: Dash, Disengage, Dodge, Help, or Hide.

The echo is intangible and cannot interact physically with objects or creatures. It cannot attack, be attacked, or be affected by spells or other abilities that target creatures. However, it can pass through solid objects and occupy the same space as other creatures, though it does not impede their movement or actions.

As a bonus action on your turn, you can switch places with the ethereal echo, causing it to teleport to your space and you to the space it occupied. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the duration increases by 10 minutes for each slot level above 4th.

Using nostter (couldn't get Isis to work), but I got lucky and got the wallet set up (flukey miracle, but I'll take it). I'll have to read about verification, I'm not familiar with that. Set up a Guarda wallet earlier today, too. Big day, first day for me in nostr/BTC/sats,etc. Thanks for offering to help, really appreciate it!

Name: Starshard Amulet

Wondrous Item (amulet), rare (requires attunement)

Description:

The Starshard Amulet is a breathtaking piece of jewelry crafted by master artisans and enchanted by celestial beings. At its center, a radiant crystalline gem pulsates with an otherworldly glow, refracting light in a mesmerizing dance of colors. The amulet is suspended from a delicate silver chain adorned with tiny celestial motifs.

Properties:

Celestial Resonance: While wearing the Starshard Amulet, you gain advantage on all Charisma-based skill checks when interacting with celestial creatures.

Starlight Veil: As an action, you can command the amulet to surround you with a protective field of starlight. For the next minute, you gain resistance to radiant damage, and any hostile creature that ends its turn within 10 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15) or be blinded until the start of its next turn. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until the next dawn.

Astral Guidance: When attuned to the amulet, you gain proficiency in the Religion skill if you don't already have it. Additionally, you can cast the Guiding Bolt spell once per day at its lowest level without expending a spell slot.

Activation:

The Starshard Amulet requires attunement by a creature of good alignment.

Curse:

Should a character of evil alignment attempt to attune to the Starshard Amulet, the amulet reacts violently. The crystalline gem darkens, and the amulet deals 2d6 radiant damage to the attuning creature. Additionally, the amulet becomes nonmagical for that creature until the next dawn.

Value:

The Starshard Amulet is a rare magical item, and its value is estimated to be around 2,500 gold pieces.

Orb of Arcane Resonance

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

This small, smooth orb, about the size of a fist, radiates a faint, pulsating aura of arcane energy. Crafted by a reclusive circle of master enchanters, the Orb of Arcane Resonance is a coveted artifact among spellcasters seeking to amplify their magical prowess.

Description:

The Orb of Arcane Resonance appears as a flawless sphere, its surface shimmering with faint patterns that seem to shift and dance when observed closely. It is typically made of a translucent crystal, often tinged with hues of blue or purple, though some rare versions may be crafted from other exotic materials such as enchanted metals or gemstones.

Properties:

Arcane Amplification: When attuned to the orb, a spellcaster gains a deeper connection to the weave of magic. Once per long rest, the attuned wielder may choose to amplify the power of a spell they cast. The spell cast using the orb gains the following benefits:

If the spell requires a saving throw, the DC increases by 2.

If the spell requires an attack roll, the caster gains advantage on the roll.

If the spell deals damage, the damage dealt is increased by 1d6 of the same damage type.

Arcane Attunement: While attuned to the orb, the wielder gains proficiency in one Intelligence-based skill of their choice if they don't already have proficiency in it. Additionally, they can add twice their proficiency bonus when making ability checks with that skill.

Arcane Aegis: As a reaction to being targeted by a spell, the attuned wielder can use the orb to erect a temporary shield of magical energy. The wielder gains advantage on the saving throw against the spell, and if the saving throw is successful, they take no damage from the spell.

Value:

The Orb of Arcane Resonance is a highly sought-after magical item, coveted by spellcasters of all kinds. Its rarity and potent abilities make it a valuable asset in any magical arsenal. Its estimated value is 10,000 gold pieces.

XP Value:

Crafting such a potent artifact requires immense skill and mastery over the arcane arts. As such, the XP value for the Orb of Arcane Resonance is 5,000 XP.

Note: As with all magical items, the Dungeon Master has final say on the availability and properties of the Orb of Arcane Resonance in their campaign.
