That can be mitigated by Cross-Input Signature Aggregation.

Or rather, let’s so OnlySats

Indeed. We wouldn’t even have practical multisig LOL

Some people are against any changes to Bitcoin whatsoever. So if these people get their way LN would be have been impossible because no SegWit.

So looking forward, things like eltoo can greatly improve the LN in many ways, but requires ANYPREVOUT softfork.

So scaling and privacy for Bitcoin has to be built with LN together and integrated with more scalability solutions.

When Satoshi first released Bitcoin, he was out to fix the Byzantime Generals Problem and he did that by PoW and a public ledger (the blockchain).

But he put out an imperfect protocol. It's not practically possible to fix everything all at once.

The first comment about Bitcoin by another person was about its problematic relationship with scaling.

Therefore the idea that Bitcoin is perfect “just the way it is” is a flawed concept.

We should strive to improve bitcoin by adding technology that helps for scaling, privacy and other things.

Bitcoin is not perfect.

In the end, all scaling to the Bitcoin mainchain has to come down to "put multiple people on the same UTXO".

This is how we achieve mass scaling.

My favorite solution for this is Drivechains BIP300/301 + an interoperable Lightning Network.

What is your favorite solution?

Great to hear!

Yeah that’s better!

Easy mistake to make. 😁

Your channel will eventually work. I don’t recall how much time it takes though.

Ah yeah a private channel would be better.

The reason why the payments fails is likely because there is a maturity period before public channels are acknowledged and can used.

You should only open public channels if you want to be a routing node and forward payments. Blixt Wallet isn’t really suited for that as it’s supposed to be private LN node wallet and is not always online to be forward payments.

Hey.

1 & 2: The Tor implementation is currently buggy. I suspect this is the cause of the issues you’re facing. We’re working on a new backend that will make things more stable. If you would like to try, come join us on Telegram @BlixtWallet.

Other than that, did you open a public channel or private channel?

3: There’s no priotization. But you would still be onion routed to your channel peer if they’re on clearnet.

Yippee! Blixt Wallet v0.6.4 has been released. 🟡

Get it while it's hot on Google Play Store and TestFlight.

It's a smaller release with some good fixes, while we're working on the special v0.6.9-420 release, coming soon. 😎

I'm softening up a bit about Ordinals and Inscriptions. I think it's good that we're beating Ethereum and the rest of the shitcoins at their own game.

Now these people are flocking en masse to Twitter Spaces about Ordinals and are super-excited. But they have to use Bitcoin lol.

But I still think that the witness discount is atrocious and abusive and I've a firm understanding about how NFTs are being pumped up artificially by a small group of elites (in order words, don't buy expensive NFTs!).

I’m not aware of any, no.

Hi, I’m Hampus from Stockholm. I develop Blixt Wallet, an orange Lightning wallet.
