1857 years ago today Marcus Aurelius celebrated the end of a war with Iran. Interesting that people are now again pushing for a war with that very same country. The returning soldiers brought back a pandemic, probably smallpox, which killed millions of Romans, including Marcus Aurelius. A subsequent smallpox pandemic would kill over half of the population of the Roman Empire.
The Israeli government has done, and does many terrible things, and Hamas would probably have been justified in attacking a military target, but if the reporters I've heard are true Hamas was executing babies. Nothing justifies executing babies. They are necessarily innocent of the crimes of the state. Even if the media is just lying about that, which is possible, Hamas isn't justified in executing random adult civilians either.
