Q: Tell us about your #Bitcoin journey.
A: “I was first introduced to bitcoin in 2017 and shortly after fell deep down the rabbit hole. In 2021 I used bitcoin to flee an abusive relationship with my two daughters. I’ve been on a mission to educate others and help build adoption ever since. We accept bitcoin in-store and online, and work with Oshi App to offer sats back rewards to customers. I also run a meetup group in Upstate NY (Capital Region Bitcoin Network).”
Q: What’s the story of your business?
A: “We founded the business in 2000 but have been making natural soaps and bath products since I was very young. I was allergic to most commercial soaps and detergents and my mom learned to make natural soaps because they weren’t readily available and were also incredibly expensive. As I got older I learned how to make lotions, scrubs, lip balm, candles, etc. I started out doing craft shows and farmers markets and in 2000 McGillycuddy’s Naturals became a full-time venture. Our goal is to offer handmade natural soaps and bath products at affordable prices.”
