YouTube has completely blocked Invidious ❌
The Invidious platform is an open-source, decentralized alternative YouTube interface and mirror that allows you to watch YouTube videos anonymously and without ads.
However, now when trying to play YouTube videos through Invidious, users encounter the error "This helps protect our community . "
The developers of Invidious comment on the situation as follows:
"Sad news for everyone. YouTube/Google has fixed the last workaround we had to restore video playback functionality.
We don't have any other solutions/fixes at this time. You can get Invidious to work on residential IPs (like at home), but Invidious will no longer work on data center IPs.
This is not the death of this project. We will still try to find new solutions, but it may take time, perhaps months."
Thunderbird email support won't be extended for older Windows and Mac systems
