The people who believe in replacement theory crap don't really clock that. Not a Bari fan, really, but she's absolutely spot on here.

Policy bringing threat amplificarion in one area is driving people to make tradeoffs for threats in others. Dumb phones are minimal on some kinds of data but the tradeoff is plain-text readability by providers in every other respect.

I'm not ready to give up e2ee, and there are many communication networks that go around the IDwall.
