What industry supports the uptake of renewable energy ⚡️ generation?
What industry provides a fully flexible load that can be curtailed to support grid stability?
What industry can mobilise its solution and place it at any location connected to the grid?
The answer - Digital Currency Mining (DCM)
Himari Energy is already operating DCM facilities in Sydney providing relief during volatile spot events, and is soon to participate in the FCAS markets (including Very Fast 1 Second FCAS). To my knowledge, they will be the first DCM facility in the NEM to provide these FCAS services with the DCM load- a fantastic achievement and one I’m sure they will look forward to growing in 2024.
As the NEM in Australia 🇦🇺 moves towards an increase of intermittent renewable energy sources, FCAS and other network supporting services will become more predominate.
We need to ensure that #Bitcoin mining ⛏️ is part of our future here at home 🏡
