Nostr Podcast, episode 01! 😎

I generated this podcast today using AI based on my blog posts on Nostr.

Yes, let me do that. It got reset on a client I am currently building. Thanks for letting me know!

"Let us all commit to doing our part to ensure that the light of freedom never dims, that the pursuit of the truth will live on, and that the voice of the many are not silenced by the interest of the few"

Unfortunately, this dilemma is all too human, and a story as long as history where all we have to do (but somehow perpetually fail at) is use the technology properly.

Public key cryptography is amazing and enables us to trustlessly verify the source of content. This, at a fundamental level solves AI generated junk polluting the internet; social issues with misinformation, political propaganda, and so on.

The decisions and the responsibility are ours, and we can either trust or we can verify.

Nostr is the antithesis to the dead internet; it is the alive, eccentric, free and decentralized internet that I grew up with and loved. One of the beautiful things about developing on Nostr is that you have an instant network effect, where you can start to see the data for yourself, view social graphs, verify content and build webs of trust around creators and put the power back into their hands. For users too, creating the network that you want and not what Elon tells you that you want.

Ultimately, freedom technology wins. Onwards ✊

It helps with the copyright problem but I'm not yet convinced that it solves it.

We have had the technology to solve these problems for a long time, but unfortunately the problem is all too human, and a story as long as history where all we have to do (but somehow perpetually fail at) is use the technology properly.

Nostr solves this. It is the antithesis to the dead internet; it the alive, eccentric, free and decentralized internet that I grew up with and loved. I have been working on one; looking at building social graphs and the ability to "build your own algorithm". I am planning to use the social graphs in conjunction with AI as well. Happy to help in any way that I can.

Nostr is the future of communication on the internet.

BOUNTY of 2,500,000 sats + tips available for Nostr DEV

I want to build an open source LLM (Large Language Model) service on Nostr. Questions can be answered on a lightning gated pay-as-you-go basis. I need a developer to help me.

As simple way to get something up and running, the objective is to have a nostr account that anyone can send DMs to as an LLM query and receive back an answer from the LLM once they have zapped the required amount of sats.

I have installed llama on a VPS and got it working. The next stage is to write something that will pipe DMs from a nostr account into the LLM and pipe the response back out the same person.

Once that is up and running, the objective is to have the Nostr account request a zap of a specified amount before the LLM automatically processes and delivers the answer.

The Nostr integration is beyond my technical abilities, so I am willing to pay a Nostr enthusiast with the right skills 2,500,000 sats to help me build this.

The motivation for the project is create an LLM service that is undoxed and unbiased as an alternative to the big subscription based services. They are proven to have political agendas built into their filters and we never know if they are spying on us and storing all of our questions. Even though they charge a subscription fee, it is still possible that they are marketing our data to advertising agencies that are using it to manipulate us. Worse still, they may be directly uploading everything to a government server.

Currently the only way to get usefulness of an LLM without submitting to the surveillance/control system, is to install an open source LLM yourself. I am currently paying 65 euros a month in bitcoin for the anonymous VPS service that has enough enough disk space an CPU power. This level of cost is prohibitive for most people who might only use the service a few times a month.

The plan is to charge 1500 sats per question, which amount so about 10 cents at current prices. The project should be able to break even on a margin basis if we can get 650 or more enquires a month.

Please feel free to zap the hell out of this note as any donations will be added to the bounty paid for this development.

Also, please repost in order that we have the best chance of getting this service built.

we can only break free of the simulation once we can acknowledge it's existence.

we believe that "progress" is just stacking layers of abstractions on top of each other. but eventually, we need to return to fundamentals.
