I never knew this existed, but I really like the idea of this product. Neat.
I'm a glass half full guy.
The thing about the Internet is that a lot of times everybody is trying to fill the remaining half of my glass with piss.
Let me have my optimistic outlook on life. Let me have my joy. It isn't my problem that all of you have lost yours - so don't make it my problem.
Has anybody in the #homelab world built a catalog/inventory/database of their personal possessions? I'm in the process of putting this together and building software tools to interact with it and manage it and I'm wondering if anyone's done this or has wanted to.
Marijuana is now legal in Ohio for those 21 or older.
Good to see the world become a small bit more libertarian.
Yesterday, my state's voters legalized abortion and made it a constitutional right.
This is horrifying.
However, the ones to commit these atrocities will one day be held accountable before the almighty God I believe in, and they will not be smiled upon.
Welcome!
Pondering today on life, faith, liberty, and more.
Society couldn't be hurt by a return to biblical ideologies.. I can't control others, but "as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD" (Joshua 24:15)

I miss the Unity DE days.
Could EU force hardware manufacturers to make working drivers for Linux?

I hope they don't. As much as improved Linux driver coverage would be great, I am a small government kinda dude. Government doesn't need to be involved in these things.
I feel the same way about their law forcing Apple to use USBC. The fact that USBC is now legally required will be a ball and chain on the leg of innovation when somebody invents USB-D.
Have you looked at Krita? It might be what you need.
I've been hearing rumors about production ramping up again. Hopefully they're true!
nostr:npub1alcgnx5d868d046jfwr0tfc80s0v88hrqhqezuut9xcth73qlepqm6l2uf I've heard a rule of thumb that, throughout history, an ounce of gold could get you a nice suit, and an ounce of silver could get you a steak dinner. More or less holds true today.
I've considering putting a bit of savings into precious metals like that. Seems fairly resistant to inflation and it's also just kinda cool.
The #RaspberryPi5 is announced & I am hyped.

Hopefully people can purchase it for a fair price.
Snap and all that drama is a big part of why I want to explore outside of Ubuntu. Thanks for this! Will definitely spin up some VMs and test drive some things.
Los teclados de los ThinkPads son fantásticos. Espero un ThinkPad para mí próxima compu, los he tenido en el pasado y me gustan mucho.
By far I have the most hours in Ubuntu, briefly ran Mint on a machine a long time ago. My #homelab is on Ubuntu 22.04 and my main computer is on Win11, which I'd like to move away from in favor of the privacy that Linux provides. I'd prefer to not run Ubuntu on my daily drive setup. Nix is super interesting to me but if you have other suggestions I'm all ears!
There was a SmarterEveryDay video about an iterative formed manufacturing process where two robots basically pinch sheet metal to form complex 3d objects.
It's almost like additive manufacturing a la FDM 3d printing where you layer up the part. One of those processes/techniques that I had never even considered but is obvious once seen. Very mind (and metal) bendy.

Destin is amazing. His joy in every video he makes is so damn infectious!
Have you had a good experience with NixOS on the laptop? It is a very interesting distro to me and I'm considering it as a candidate for when I switch to daily driving Linux. The config file system will give me a safety net allowing me to tinker around with things so I can easily roll back if I break something.
Cathartic day at the plant, running the dry ice blaster to clean up some conveyors before we overhaul them. #bluecollar
