Similarities between Fractional reserve banking and a Ponzi scheme:

1) Both fractional reserve banking and Ponzi schemes involve using funds from one source to generate returns.

2) In both cases, there is a potential risk of insolvency if there is a sudden withdrawal of funds or a lack of new investors.

3) Both involve the use of leverage, i.e: using borrowed funds to invest or lend out.
