In #Mendocino some people live in a $1M house with ocean views & some in a small cabin back in the woods. But most of us are here to be in nature, eat from local farms & have a low time preference lifestyle…all values #bitcoin embodies as money you can save for a better future.

People who own real estate think the value of their property is going up. But the rise in housing prices is more a reflection of a devaluing currency.
For example according to my modest little cabin which needs some work, I’m a millionaire.

For most people #Bitcoin is a mysterious token & the idea of exchanging hard-earned (yet debasing) dollars for BTC is a non-starter for them.
It takes a certain kind of person with an open mind to look closer & understand this hard money asset that’s slowly going mainstream.
There is someone renting property from me. They struggle financially so I took the time to explain inflation and #bitcoin. They smiled but ignored BTC. So I offered them a 20% rent reduction if they saved that 20% for themselves in BTC. They didn’t take my offer!! 
Some people like to leap out of bed early, take a brusk cold shower, go for a run and seize the day…
I don’t.

Gold takes work to produce and is scarce. Bitcoin also takes work to produce and is scarcer than gold.
Neither are 'backed' by anything except the laws of physics. 
If you’re thinking of ‘making money’ with #bitcoin you don’t understand bitcoin. Bitcoin IS money. It’s better money than the $ because it retains purchasing power over time while the $ loses value through inflation.
Once you understand this you no longer want $s, you want #BTC.
