Losing twitter still gives me a feeling of grieve as I really loved the platform, that I joined with my first account in 2011. After the takeover it felt like a slow deterioration. The amount of misinformation on the platform reached a high and overshadowed actual problems. Sensible discussions basically disappeard and polarizing content had a big upswing, creating a lot of tension among its users. The rate limits reminded me, that a centralized solution can be turned off anytime for any reason. So I decided to try nostr.
