We can compare MeShell to Medium, the goal of my client is creating a space for the independent journalists who has been banned by the big tech companies for several reasons or publish revelations in total anonymity if needed like in the case of WikiLeaks to ensure the freedom of speech. So it's not exactly a social media, but a new way of publishing articles. I will also include the option of creating channels so that the journalists can interact with his/her audience, or to make newsletters.
