In case someone runs into this issue in Damus. I had an older nostr key, but specifically I had multiple other nostr clients open when setting up Damus. This seemed to cause an issue where my relays were being overwritten between clients, making this one particularly useless. Solution: close everything, used the astral.ninja web client. Added new relays, closed that client, and everything worked. Good luck!
I fixed it. Went to astral.ninja and added a bunch of relays there, and now things are working well here.
For @jb55 and others: I’ve exhausted my options I believe. May need to generate a new key? Cannot follow others, can’t see/add relays. Can’t see dm’s, notifications etc…pretty much can only follow global. Anyway if you notice anything I’m @willcole on Twitter. Despite my limitations, this is really cool/exciting!

Fwiw it appears I can see + add relays, and also can see any other feed than the global (randomly saw your reply). Likely something I did wrong!
