It depends but we researched this quite a bit at Stack Overflow. TLDR; it was a very bad motivator to create high quality content and generally turned people off. Example: Being a nice neighbor, you shovel your neighbors driveway for a month. Afterwards, your neighbor shows up and gives you 50 cents.
It often makes you examine how little value you are receiving for good content, and wasn’t the reason you created that good content to begin with.
Need to find some angles without folks in them.
Bitcoin Park in Nashville is incredibly impressive.
If you read Robert Heinlein as a kid, you probably avoided DCG, BlockFi, 3AC, FTX, Celsius and all the other nonsense. TANSTAAFL.
I like the part of the cycle where we’re all looking for fourth homes in Hawaii, but this is the second best part.
The new profile is great, but the 2x load times are better.
Yeehaw
12 hour drive, changed destination after 2 road closures. Get to the ranch, heater works, no food, but a full bottle of scotch past me left. Happy new year.
Good point. But some of us are!
Every night for the past 10 days after putting the kids to bed, I’ve thought about the possibilities of nostr. After performance, which is not trivial, I’ve been thinking about how to create the most effective filter bubbles. In order for something to be open and free, individuals need the tools to tune out stuff they don’t want. Curious what apps people think do this best job of this. Something like:
1. 1-1 blocking/muting
2. Group blocking
3. WoT block lists
What else?
Damus got a lot more reliable very quickly. The last week is night and day.
Did you have any other clients open? I ran into all sorts of weird overwriting issues when I had both astral and Damus running.
Happy New Year! Read up on CBDC nonsense to publicly shoot down the US government going through their 2014 era blockchain not bitcoin phase later this year.
This is just overflowing with character

Snowboarding and tenderloin. You need another 5 years minimum in Texas.
Not sure if it’s new, but I seem to be getting NVK notifications. I prefer being less popular.
GM. The early bird gets to ski all the wonderful powder before the snowboarders ruin everything.
Yeehaw!
