I am rude, because I have been treated (unjustly) like utter crap by a lot of people. If you are nice to me, I will very likely be nice to you.

You're saying this but you're acting in response to numerous lies and false accusations.

Is it frustrating or encouraging if someone else posts the same humorous comment?

hey, from your messages I get the impression you're still trying to find your way around.

Have tried search for and following #hashtags? If you put a word with a hashtag in front, it becomes a search term for anyone else who follows that hashtag. So if you post about '# tree' (without space between hashtag and word) then anyone who follows 'tree' can find your message.

Similarly, if you search for 'tree' in most clients, you can tell your client to follow that hashtag and posts show from all kinds of people (you don't know) show up if they use 'tree' (with the hashtag).

Now you can obviously follow people's accounts, but if you follow hashtags for keywords that are interesting to you, then you can discover other people's messages too.

Because there is no algorithm that "makes up" what you should like, the hashtags and posts from people you follow are the most effective way to find interesting conversation.

Sadge

I'd like for people to stop making up stories about others when they haven't considered for a second other people's circumstances or bothered to communicate or even just responded to attempts to communicate.

I'm perfectly happy to admit that it took a quick second to realize the pun.

#nostr just thinking out loud here, but wouldn't it be ideal if nostr had a #P2P #backend next to its normal operating mode?

- frequently requested ("hot") images readily available

- alternative stream of inputs

- have a reserve of #peers for quickly reestablishing connections.

I wonder if #veilid would be suitable as such a backbone?

It's kind of funny to see how nostr client responds to fiatjaf's weird as messages. His edits are practically slideshows. :-P

Rotating through the edits is awesome! I discovered that just now.
