If you can see things from more than one perspective, the previous post would have been clear as day.
When I initially said I was donating the What’s Nostr shirt, some people probably assumed I was upset. Never. I simply wanted the exchange to happen to help support the main concept behind the implementation of Bitcoin according to the whitepaper. I wanted an exchange to happen especially on a protocol that touts the merging of Bitcoin in its apps/clients. If Nostr was of value, why offer the shirt for 30k sats? If Nostr is worth it, then it deserves a higher price tag, right? So thats why I originally set the price at 500k sats. I dropped the price to 175k sats but still there were no takers. I have no idea why. It would have been great for it to happen.
To be honest, Advertising for Nostr was never a losing option in this situation. If someone made the exchange at 500k sats, that’s a win. It would have showed that someone truly valued Nostr. If someone made the purchase at 175k sats, it still would have showed that someone valued Nostr. By giving the shirt away for free to someone who really needed it, a woman received a clean shirt to wear AND Nostr now has a walking billboard in Cape Town. Nostr still came out ahead by now having an internationally placed walking billboard that will probably wear the shirt more often than the average person.
The only person who is at a financial loss is me. But I don’t see it as a good deed loss. The most important thing is that someone has a clean shirt to wear.
I truly have an unorthodox way of doing many things. I like the independent, decentralized, outside of the box approach.
Someone shared a story that truly inspired an idea. 💭💭💭
Pondering on this novel idea right now.
Me: It’s really an easy simple solution.
Donations in cash, bitcoin, clothes, food, etc. are all mediums of exchange to help the next person.
I help those in need. The donations I receive are used to help those in need. God knows what I do.
As stated previously, I’m just one woman on a mission doing the best I can.
I’ve been meeting a lot of homeless people on this journey. I want to do more in this realm. I just spoke to someone who inspired a novel idea. I simply need the funding for the land. It’s such an easy solution.
We prayed together at the end. I pray that God blesses her. And provide a home for her.
No one online saw the value in taking the shirt. But a homeless person who asked me for clean clothes received it. She was so happy because she had been wearing the same clothes for a while. I’m glad to bring her joy.
When we initially met, she didn’t even want to look a me and could barely articulate what she wanted. She was embarrassed. I ask her to tell me exactly what she needed. She said soap, clothes, deodorant, etc. So, I gave her what I had. She was thrilled. I also gave her the God Loves You and Pray Every Day shirts that I had previously worn. Plus, other items.
The “What’s Nostr?” T-shirt was donated today. She was confused by the words. 😅. But she was still appreciative of the clean clothes.
The T-shirt did not go to waste. And she’ll be a walking advertisement for #nostr in Cape Town

If I won, I was gonna buy me something nice. I do so much for others. I have to look out for me too. Self-care is important.
As a statistician, I just finished playing nostr:nprofile1qqspwsetpg22uceemmz3k96gjzl420s895ckvc9pgw09vzxtw70v57spz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzvuhszymhwden5te0wahhgtn4w3ux7tn0dejj70s7flf for the past hour. It was fun. The odds should be posted though. When I broke even, I made a withdrawal. I was looking for the big win! But didn’t happen. I think the jackpot is over 21 million sats. A nice payout if someone wins. 👍
Yesterday, I shared with someone the link to my online statistics course.
Names, emails, phone numbers…
Connections. ✨
I met so many new people yesterday.
God just keeps blessing me. ❤️
