Me: š
Since yāall like things out in the open around here, I like how posts show who zapped who. š
Perhaps. I just tried twice. Try using a different wallet.
Donāt embarrass yourself on the world stage. Itās not a cute look.
FYI: Donāt start barking in my mentions. Your comments are for the whole world to see. You know they lack privacy around here.
And Iām not deleting a single postā¦
Staying in my lane. Itās fun over here. š
Iām not going to repost the notes of people calling me rude, mean, and disrespectful names. But if youāre bored, read through my posts. Plenty of lessons to learn. š
Do people really think Iām stupid? Now thatās disrespectful. š
Moreover, after being disrespected and called out my name, I said things will be different. And I mean it. š
Education is important. Educators are valuable. With that said, value is based on perception. Itās clear as day that people didnāt perceive my educational content as valuable.
Thank you for proving one of my many pointsā¦for the whole world to see.
At this point, Iām done with this use case research. Class is over. I should log off of Nostr now and not return. But I wonāt. I still have some more teaching to doā¦about other things. Iām not done yet. š
For the past 8 months, Iāve shared a lot. Many of my posts contain educational content. I also posted the link to my online statistics course. Some of yāall might want to check it out and learn some things to gain a foundation for those jobs I just posted.
Listen, Iām not crying on the Internet because I didnāt get a whale zap but Ian did. Iām not upset about my sats total. Iām an educator. Iām used to getting paid less. I shouldnāt be. But one doesnāt stay in the academic world for two decades unless they *care*. With my background, I can obviously work another job and get paid more. But if I left the teaching profession, who was going to pick up where I left offā¦.
A human or AI?
The smart ones already understand my points.
People are focused on so many other things. People value so many other things. Especially in America.
I can call out this country. I was born and raised here. Iām an American. I never said America is the worst country in the world. But I can call out its flaws.
For those who like to read statistics, here is one about āTrends in Math Degreesā.
To write some of these advanced algorithms, youāll need (at a minimum) to take courses similar to those required for a Bachelor's degree.
Anyone wanna take a wild guess what percentage of Bachelor's degrees in matheamtics or statistics were awarded out of all Bachelor's degrees in 2020?
Answer: 1.4%

I posted this back in December. The country isnāt graduating enough people with the skillset in math and statistics.
Iām being serious. What is the USA seriously going to do? Math and statistics are foundational to many things.
Furthermore, I know ātheyā lurk. What are yāall gonna do for real? You canāt hire foreign workers to work on classified information. The people with advanced degrees are getting older. Weāre not spring chickens.
America has a problem. What are yāall gonna do? Rely on AI.
So much irony. You just canāt make this up.
Currently, high paying jobs in America that require math/statistics are unfilled.
People lack the skillset. And others arenāt interested.
At the same time, children donāt want to be teachers to teach the math and statistics that are needed for these high paying jobs.
And people like me in my age group are retiring and leaving the profession.
But wait, math is stupid. Statistics is dumb. And you probably hate math. š¤
Tiktok is more fun, right. š
