I do not know much about makeup. I also do not know much about makeup removal wipes. But that did not stop me from wondering as I waited in line at Marshalls whether anyone would want to buy pumpkin spice-scented makeup removal wipes.

I have not gone to see anything at a movie theater since April 3, 2010. I say "anything" instead of "movie" because I went to the theater to see a boxing match between Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr. I tell the story and recall the foul-filled and ultimately one-sided fight in a full article.

Back in 2020, I wrote about my very early impressions of using Pixelfed's flagship instance, Pixelfed Social, after about one month. Pixelfed has seen improvement since 2020, but my original review remains mostly evergreen. Fun fact -- this is the only one of my articles to be a Wikipedia site -- albeit Finnish and Russian Wikipedia.

In January 2019, I dusted off my copy of the original Mario Party for Nintendo 64 for the first time in many years. I found, to my surprise, that I was in the midst of an unfinished game -- on turn 50 of 50. I ventured I had left the game unfinished somewhere in the range of 2001-2003. At that point, there was only one thing to do...

Firefox is good. I use Firefox as my primary browser (with Arkenfox user.js and other modifications, of course) -- although I access NOSTR from a Brave profile. But while I appreciate Firefox, Mozilla's gobbledygook is often less appealing. I check in on its 2022 description of Colorways.

My article about (1) seeing a squirrel eating a French fry in Manhattan; (2) failing to take a photograph of the squirrel eating a French fry in Manhattan; and (3) subsequently taking a photo of a squirrel on a tree with no French fry in Manhattan.

I (very) briefly used a BlackBerry Storm back in 2012 before switching to used Bold, which was my phone until it stopped working in 2016 or so. I then used a refurbished BlackBerry Classic until spring 2021. I would have kept using it until the end of BB10 but it developed battery issues (especially in the cold) that made it too impractical. I run a Pixel with LineageOS these days, but I do have a USB-C BlackBerry keyboard as a fun novelty item (https://www.tindie.com/products/zitaotech/blackberry-bbq20-usb-keyboard-with-trackpad/) (clear case, however).

My review of DecSync, an interesting tool designed to allow local syncing of tasks, contacts, calendars, and RSS feeds (including favorites and read states) using Syncthing. I moved off DecSync subsequent to writing my review, but it is still a neat project that I hope to see developed further.

I received a fun surprise on Friday when my essay on how to evaluate results during the "Armstrong era" of professional road cycling was shared by The Browser, an interesting looking (paid) email newsletter that chooses five articles from around the web every day. It... definitely had an effect on our traffic. The Browser included the link to my essay in its selection of free links for non-subscribers today.
