I am currently in Ohio and 3 counties around me heard a huge boom last night that shuck the ground. Local police can't explain, people are guessing it was fighter jets training above us but nobody has confirmed for sure.
I've watched all of his podcasts I could find and feel I have a decent idea of his thesis, but admittedly haven't gotten a copy of his book yet.
I think people are definitely overreacting, as he clearly understands the network well and I can't refute any of his observations, and his perspective is new to me and that's refreshing.
I'll probably have some hot takes once I get my hands on the book though.

This implies AGI may be a natural step in our evolutionary process, or if we eradicate ourselves, or are somehow phased out before or after then, whether due to nukes, disease, famine or war. it would just be the natural order of things.
