Same boredom, coerced learning. Different generation. Spanning decades. Then kids graduate. Become adults. Have children. Recycle the same process of upbringing. Adults should remember how much time was wasted in school. Mediocrity at best is the value of a HS diploma.
This isn’t every school, but surely a symbol of the nature of coercive schooling - industrialized tradition of breeding obedience and assimilation of all races, religion, and economic backgrounds.
I entered education to have skin in the game. I can say with full confidence with 1 year under my belt, massive change will always happen top-down. If you want to change education, save yourself time and cause havoc from the outside.
Uniforms. One-way hallways. Colorless classrooms. A large white campus on a plantation where bused-in students are minorities. That’s my school.
