Bitcoiners often get frustrated by failed orange pilling attempts. This feeling is nothing new.

The "Cassandra complex", aka Cassandra syndrome, is a psychological term used to refer to the state of mind of a person who is ABLE to accurately predict certain significant future events but who is UNABLE to persuade anyone of the dangers of events foreseen.

Cassandra was one of King Priam of Troy's children, along with Prince Hector who dueled Achilles, and Prince Parris who shot Achilles in the heel with an arrow during the fall of Troy. Cassandra was a priestess in the temple of Apollo.

According to myths, Apollo came to Cassandra one day with a proposal. To win Cassandra's favor, he gifted her with clairvoyance. Apollo is often said to be the "sun god" in the Greek and Roman pantheons. Apollo did ride in the sun titan's chariot which originally belonged to Helios. Apollo was considered the god of enlightenment, prophecy, oracles, and clairvoyance, among other things, so his gift of clairvoyance to Cassandra was, mythologically speaking, within his jurisdiction, if you will.

His gift given, Apollo's advances on Cassandra were rejected. Scorned by this rejection, Apollo cursed Cassandra such that no one would ever believe her clairvoyant predictions, making her ability useful only in service to her self and no one else.

It can feel like this at times trying to orange pill people, but it's not really this bad. Delivering orange pills masterfully is not a skill one typically picks up during one's freshman year as a Bitcoiner. Master orange pillers have studied for 10,000 hours and have practiced orange pilling a hundred people. If you're new and you suck at this, don't give up. Keep learning. You'll pick it up.

If you're an OG veteran, you've probably orange pilled more than zero people but you've probably also been on the receiving end of a lot of Cassandra-like rejections. Rest here, weary traveler. Reinforcements have long since arrived.

I don't think the idea of a "colorblind meritocracy" is honestly a very good goal state.

Nations should be conscious and protective of their ethnicities. A 'national identity' can only extend the common tribe so much. Assimilation is rarer than we thought.

In many places, like Japan, the overlap between national identity and ethnicity is nearly 100%, and that's worth preserving.

In highly mixed countries, like America, it is better to develop a shared pride for the ethnicities of the country than pretend they don't exist.
