Iris app ⚡️ The Nostr client for better social networks 🤙 Web, iOS, Android + (win, linux, macOS, docker) 🤙 How-to guides and features: https://docs.iris.to ⚡️

pv 💫 Iris & Play store 🤙 #MarchoffTwitter 😎

It's March and have you gotten off the birdsite yet? For the remnants, we did one minute guide on how to jump off from the burning platform.

Iris has an 🤖 version. It still seems to be news for some so go and check it out:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=to.iris.twa

And if anyone can tell why the Mastodon official app is on the first row when searching with "nostr" let us know (not really).

Pura vida 🤙

Seems to be ok. You could try to cmd/ctrl + R force refresh on browser or quit the app. Most likely a cache issue or not connected to the relays.

pv 😎 Update to the Iris global feed for better curation 🤙

"Iris accepts events from users that your social network has interacted with (actions such as follow, like, reply etc. that refer to the npub in question) from your 2nd degree follows and 3rd degree follows that have five or more followers.

For example, if you have a follower and let's call your follower a spammer: If nobody has ever liked, followed, replied or interacted in any (nostr event) way with the spammer then you will not see it.

Your network starts from you and who you follow and goes forward from there. Who follows you is not automatically part of your network unless any interaction happens.

The result is that you get less spam."

You can always Block (private) or Report (public) any user whose feed you don't want to see.

It should do it automatically - no button. Try cmd/cntrl + R to force refresh and try again if you are on browser (or quit the app and restart). We did some changes so could be some hiccups but should work.

Should work. We just did some changes so there's a chance something is not working.

PV! Just pushed a major refactor of the Iris codebase. Removed a big chunk of unnecessary code and depencencies, and broke down large files into more manageable pieces. Let me know if I broke something in the process.

There's not much visible change to the user except for the faster loading search box, but the codebase should be much less obscure for contributors now. https://github.com/irislib/iris-messenger

One issue I'm noticing is that Following / Posts feed starts pushing old posts after a while, looking into it. Also sometimes you get a black page when loading some url. That's because of StaleWhileRevalidate caching and needs to be fixed somehow.

Hoping to get zap listing done soon, then zapping, then some updates to the mobile apps. Then maybe user lists and custom feeds.

pv 💫 Check the weekend posts if you had some time off and missed the latest updates

We added some features (Twitch) and fixed bugs there. Could you tru cmd/ctrl + R to refresh your browser / quit and restar the app. Might help.

Whichever you prefer. It's just an easier way to find your nostr profile. It can have additional meaning if you attach your identity validation to it somehow. (e.g. self-host it on your website proving you have access to that site 👉 high likelyhood that it's you).
