The inflation also plays a huge role. I rememmber for 1,40lev ≈ $0.75 you was able to get pretty good pizza 4-5y ago. Now 3leva wouldn't be enough in most places. Even the most famous fast food here in Bulgaria, the düner, got from 1, 2 and 3leva for small, medium and large to 6, 7 and 8leva in the last several years.
