As far as I know, there isn’t a native way to go from Lightning back to on-chain within BlueWallet. For that you’d still have to transfer your sats to a wallet like Muun, Wallet of Satoshi, or Phoenix where you can withdraw to a bitcoin address. Come to think of it, the only times I’ve ever moved sats back from Lightning was by closing channels on my node.

I think they are worthy of contempt. You are participating in making Bitcoin not scarce by chasing yield on the scarcest thing that has ever existed. You are diverting demand and helping to create a paper ecosystem that empowers the worst kind of scammers.

I know that reality will catch up to them eventually. But I am no longer in the sympathetic camp. I’m in the “You got what you deserved you degenerate piece of shit” camp now.

I used to hold that opinion. But it’s much worse then that.

I’m of the mind set that paper Bitcoin is a really big problem. In my opinion it represents the biggest most successful attack on Bitcoin to date.

These are not just poor souls that are going to get rekt. This are mindless assholes that are funding the production of paper Bitcoin.

Here’s why we are being bombarded with subscriptions, the secret they don’t want you to know is that there is a finite amount of attention available to monetize. I’m the US, there are 210m people over 18, who all have to deal with the same 24 hrs in 1 day (less sleeping, working, and eating). There’s only so much media you can consume. Attention has a hard cap.

These guys know that the marketplace for your attention is becoming more and more fragmented. As it gets fragmented, their ability to monetize you decreases, so how do they combat it, by locking you into a subscription so that even if you do not use the platform you are paying for it. They need a money printer too.

This is why I nostr, to figure out how the hell to do this value for value thing before everything on this planet becomes some kind of subscription service.

I hate subscriptions, if I don’t use it, I don’t want to pay for it, if I find value, I’d gladly pay for its true worth. LFG you beautiful nostrich bastards.
