😳 nostr:npub1dg6es53r3hys9tk3n7aldgz4lx4ly8qu4zg468zwyl6smuhjjrvsnhsguz is the definition of grace under pressure.

Grace under pressure has been shown by the people of Gaza who can't get out from under Israel's genocidal bombing. Presumably nostr:npub1dg6es53r3hys9tk3n7aldgz4lx4ly8qu4zg468zwyl6smuhjjrvsnhsguz could still get out of Israel so she's either a fool to still be there, or worse.

Following nostr:npub10jnx6stxk9h4fgtgdqv3hgwx8p4fwe3y73357wykmxm8gz3c3j3sjlvcrd's post I want to raise the question of whether man went to the moon.

Despite being a conspiracy theorist, or so I am told, I believe that man did go to the moon for several reasons.

- Images of the lunar landing sites (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter). These images are from 2009, although we can argue that they were taken by the US and could be false.

- The Chinese Chang'e 2 probe managed to capture images of the Apollo landing sites in 2012. Although not at the same resolution as NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) images, these photos also showed the location of lunar modules and equipment left on the surface.

- Retroreflectors on the Moon. During the Apollo 11, 14 and 15 missions, astronauts left retroreflectors on the lunar surface. These devices allow pulses of laser light to be sent from the Earth to the Moon, and the retroreflector returns the light, allowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon to be measured with great precision. Some observatories and universities have conducted experiments using these retroreflectors, and the results are publicly available.

- Moon rock samples. The Apollo missions brought back 382 kilograms of lunar rocks, which have been analyzed in laboratories around the world, including institutions outside the U.S. These samples have been studied by independent scientists and have unique characteristics that differentiate them from terrestrial and meteorite rocks.

- International verification. It is not only the U.S. that has monitored these missions. Other countries, including the Soviet Union, which was competing in the space race, and nations with advanced tracking capabilities, verified and acknowledged the landings. For example, the Soviet Union did not refute the Apollo missions despite being in the midst of the Cold War.

What do you think?

My belief that the Apollo program landed ppl on the moon is over 99% however I'm actually also happy that there are ppl out there who are sceptical and think it was faked. It's good to have ppl showing scepticism about various topics.

Peter's politics are indeed adolescent level (and loathsome). However I still follow him for his good technical intelligence.

Man boobs are to men as cellulite is to women.

2 aesthetic annoyances than millions of people have, and have been psy-opped into believing it's either (a) genetic and can't be fixed or (b) a result of lack of exercise

Both wrong. These problems are both a textbook side effect of eating PLANT OILS, which the human body is not built to process.

Our digestive system is extremely acidic (even more than a lion!) meaning we are designed to eat MEAT and FAT only - zero plants. Plant fibers & oils are completely indigestible to us, so when you consume them, problems happen (digestive problems and unwanted fat deposits, respectively)

Cellulite and man boobs are literally just a coagulation of oils that the body doesn't know what to do with. EASY FIX: Throw out the canola oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, avocado oil, olive oil, etc., and replace that crap with butter, ghee, and beef tallow!

The moobs & cottage cheese legs will evaporate in a matter of months, guaranteed.

(Adding exercise will speed up the process as well, just remember, that is a BONUS. No amount of squats, bench press or cardio will fix these issues if you're stuffing the wrong food into your mouth everyday)

The @HRF is suspect and @gladstein is a fraud

Here's the background. The UK forced the importation of opium into China, at massive profits to themselves and tremendous harm to China. They also demanded the concession of parcels of Chinese land where they weren't subject to Chinese law but instead could set up their own legal system. One of these concessions was of course Hong Kong.

When Hong Kong was eventually returned to China, the Chinese govt showed great tolerance and restraint in allowing Hong Kong to keep some autonomy and existing foreign systems including legal systems.

Meanwhile, Western agencies sought to create mischief in Hong Kong by boosting 'pro democracy' groups and all sorts of CIA backed NGOs. IOW, the usual pattern of setting up a 'colour revolution'. Such a revolution was then attempted in 2019 and failed because it was not truly hone grown.

The Chinese govt has cracked down since that attempt and imposed laws like the one we are discussing here. You, with your Western blinkers, may be blind to what prompted it and it may offend your Western ideals but tough luck. it's not actually your business and this guy was an idiot to wear an openly seditios logo on his clothing when such laws have been put in place.

Finally, on a personal note, I find ppl wearing political and ideological logos on their clothing an obnoxious practice that comes from the USA, and I can see how it would feel quite foreign to Asian cultures. Actually, I find wearing pictorial t-shirts in general very 'man childish' behaviour and again, very US American. I don't like that, under US influence, it's become a practice in my own country, although I wouldn't support a law against it (of course).

So no, I don't see this law and this prosecution 'insane' in the historical context of Hong Kong. I also see it as quite trivial. So again, I wonder why you chose to highlight this particular incident which heoowns to play right into the hands of the Western agencies pushing mischief in Hong Kong.

(btw, I tend to lean heavily towards the answer just being that you're a 'useful idiot')

So the complete works of Shakespeare is 'advertising' ?

I get the principle of scepticism here but this absolutist line takes it too far. There has always been good genuinely Free culture in the world, and a world where you pay for everything of any value would be a very poor and sterile world.

Of course it's not fake news; my point is why are you highlighting it ?

I'm not a cold showers zealot but I did do a year of exclusively cold showers as an experiment. Two things I noticed :

1. I have generally (very) good skin but did have, like a lot of people, drier skin on my elbows. These patches of drier skin went away and turned pink and smooth again.

2. Natural highlights came back into my hair, to a startling degree. I had very blond hair as a child, ageing into a more ash blond. The cold water brought back shining colour into my hair. That convinced me to go 'no poo' (no shampoo), after seeing how good sebum retention is for your hair.

Even just going cooler is better than hot hot showers (I haven't kept to strict cold showers). And hot baths are fine too. It's the hot water continually running over your skin & through yr hair in a shower which is what's damaging.

His criticism here of the measures taken to lessen agitation for another colour revolution attempt in Hong Kong

Hollywood film (Warner Bros)

(And it's only a Guy Fawkes mask, if that's what you're referring to)
