guess mclaren wasn't bending backwards to comply and fia is too stiff to let this slide. so, now red bull can go back to flexing its wings.

https://spectrum.ieee.org/5g-antenna-transparent-window this is such a neat idea. however, in the market of ideas, why would someone fit this versus a hard wired line and ethernet?

I have tremendous respect for LMNT and god bless him for him for not being affected by the RCS divide. I’m not a fan of Google‘s messaging efforts despite being a Googler. But nothing explains away Apple’s feet dragging.

Glad this is now here. Onwards.

@lopatto.bsky.social 's framing is quite effective at explaining some VC behavior.

this was an interesting listen. the thesis that people need to find humanity in each other before one can attempt to bridge additional divides is not just important, but used to be an american strength.

I am still surprised android doesn't have an equivalent of iOS Shortcuts from Apple.

I worry that apple's painting itself into a corner for on-device models with such a low amount of RAM for even the Pro phones. For comparison, competition is on the 16GB mark.

Personally, I will be thrilled if a chromium based browser is ported on to iOS and ipad OS. People can really test how they compare to Safari, even to just push the Safari team more.

I like Safari and I personally think its quality of extensions are indeed high, but time for some competition imho.

2nd post today that is questioning Safari and how great it is. The first one was more correcting an oft misunderstood battery life comparison of Chrome

interesting results. for understanding some additional battery impact, curious how the browsers accommodate "low power mode"

I don't see Google fighting for the open web either. And I do think that this will put Google chasing incremental revenue. That need not be the end of the company, but the place I joined to move the web forward is done.

It’s official. Even the mighty #apple cannot make a good how can LLMs help you ad.

Genuinely surprised by how Google totally skipped Qi 2 support for the pixels this year as well. They were ahead on WiFi 7 support but now a year+ behind Qi 2 support.

The human capacity to tolerate and thrive is just incredible.
