Hey nostr, I'm looking to buy a USED SUV. I'm looking at a Toyota 4Runner ($$$) or a Ford Expedition ($$)

The thing is, I'm not sure if I should buy it outright with USD, or put a small down payment and get a loan (~$200 per month?)

As a bitcoiner, I'm not sure which is a better use of my money. I like to be debt free, but I know inflation will make a car loan get easier over time. If I buy with cash, I'll have to sell some BTC. Ideas and suggestions welcome!!! Thanks!!

imo dont buy depreciating assets with expensive debt if possible. why pay 25k, for a 20k vehicle? many are doing just that with 4 year car loan at 9%.

Weight the interest rate against what you expect BTC to do over the course of a loan. Then calculate your opportunity loss by not being able to buy BTC instead during that time. See how much you're really losing. I hate buying expensive things but if it's for a bigger payoff, it can be worth it. Get the one that will last the longest vs. the opportunity cost of the car. Maintanance and parts availability are also factors. Should be pretty good for both I'd imagine. Ford is probably a little cheaper, but not by much.

I get an immediate gut reaction when seeing the way Kamala Harris talks and moves, all the alarm bells go off at once telling me that I'm in the presence of a predator. Ditto for Hillary Clinton. Just the way I feel.

1) buy trailer

2) find free swingset on CL

3) hitch up trailer and get wrenches and power tools

4) travel an hour away

5) spend 5 hours disassembling wooden playhouse/monkeybars/3-swing set

6) store in barn for 6 years because I didnt really need it

7) power wash each individual board taking off 30 years of moss, mold, dirt and rot

8) soak in TSP and bleach mix

9) scrub tsp/bleach into wood

10) power wash again

11) put back in barn for a week of summer heat to dry

12) sand each board smooth

13) wipe with damp cloth

14) stain witg sikkens SRD, 2 coats

15) tear down old wood rainbow monkeybar/swing

16) reassemble newly stained swingset in back yard

Hey nostr friends, oh what a nice, relaxing day its been for me. After the hard week i had, i decided to take a day off; well i did do a little workout earlier, but everything else mostly got put on hold. After all, self care is important too. This morning we went and picked up some new patio chairs for my newly renovated patio, then the rest of the day we just relaxed.
