Will it likely be in a block before being returned after 48 hrs or more likely not, at this point. Does someone know?

Forgive me, I am a bit of a knobhead with these sort of things. I sort of get the photography specific relay which , correct me if wrong, would relay only photography related stuff? So nostriches that connect have more photo content without having to get that through curating their feed on an individual basis. The other ideas seem to me to lay somewhat ‘outside’ of the nostr specific space , like the website and the app, of which there are so many already.

Went to a museum where there was an exposition with work from Dirk Braeckman (1958) . His work is B&W , sometimes layered in post process in the dark room and very moody. I liked it.

I read the latest peace from (people working for) the ECB on bitcoin, called ‘the distributional consequences of Bitcoin’ (Bindseil/Schaaf) They make the case that bitcoin, if not a bubble, will transfer wealth to earlybirds, from non-holders and latecomers.

At the point where bitcoin will eventually be redistributed evenly to all people, early adopters will have used their bitcoin to buy other assets and their related income from latecomers, leading to an ultimately negative outcome for the latter, so they calculate.

My opinion on the piece, having read it once, is that they might initially be right (open to suggestions why not).

However, first of all, this expected outcome is exactly the effect the current fiat system is having now: widening the wealth gap in favour of those who were early.

The difference with bitcoin is that once btc has been equally distributed, well.. it will be equally distributed and no one is issuing more bitcoin to the early birds nor to anyone else. That is imo seems to be where the positive difference is. Not that everyone will be equaly wealthy, but everyone will have a chance to create their own wealth in a more level playing field. Latecomers who work harder or have better value adding ideas than early birds will be able to catch up and surpass them in wealth.

Admittedly, I think this might take a long time.

Only read the tldr, but looks like here is where they play the (expected) card of: ‘those evil bitcoiners are a menace to us all, stealing our wealth’, in order to justify more extreme measures in the future.

Wow great shot!

This one is a composite of a zoomed in moon-photo and a long exposure landscape photo. The moon was actually there , but overexposed. I then cooied the moon image, flipped it and placed it in the water as a reflection. It’s a lot easier to do now than it was back then :)
