It can be like having a bipolar toddler for 80 years.

nostr:npub1zhj8u3ap67ufls4rq44kt9u5mlq46ja6xjel32za2ajk8g75efnsevkmgu nostr:npub1pnpez7cn4h04pxg07dmmklzyz7u7fm0w2ddrw220qh785rq3m42ql452zw That's a humorous but accurate description. You have to handle them daily and not keep them locked in a cage so they are content

Lupe laughs and sounds like a person laugning, Rebecca makes like weird electronic noises that sound like one of my son's toys

I cover their cages with a blanket and they don't make noise until I uncover them in the morning. We wake up pretty early though because my son has school so like by 6-7 am they are awake everyday

nostr:npub10xsya97ljmdfv4ry0s9uyhdnfx89epazk3e644l9vlflrkkrd00splf3nw what are they like behaviour-wise? Are they friendly?

nostr:npub1zhj8u3ap67ufls4rq44kt9u5mlq46ja6xjel32za2ajk8g75efnsevkmgu lupe is way more friendly, you can put her on your shoulder and hold her on your finger. Rebecca was not handled as much by her original owner, so you can pick her up but she won't sit on your shoulder. neither bite though.

nostr:npub10xsya97ljmdfv4ry0s9uyhdnfx89epazk3e644l9vlflrkkrd00splf3nw Yeah they look like amazons - blue-fronted amazons I think. They're insanely intelligent. How recently did you get them?

nostr:npub1zhj8u3ap67ufls4rq44kt9u5mlq46ja6xjel32za2ajk8g75efnsevkmgu They are pretty smart. They live an insanely long time as well, Lupe is a year older than Rebecca, so both these birds will probably live like 50 years or more

nostr:npub1zhj8u3ap67ufls4rq44kt9u5mlq46ja6xjel32za2ajk8g75efnsevkmgu I have had rebecca for a year, and Lupe the second parrot, I have had for around 3 months. I got her in a similar situation, this guy I knew didn't want her anymore, so I bought her because I wanted the first parrot to have a friend. They're social animals in nature.

nostr:npub1zhj8u3ap67ufls4rq44kt9u5mlq46ja6xjel32za2ajk8g75efnsevkmgu I am not sure, I bought her from my neighbor, who was an old lady that didn't want to take care of her anymore, she is 4 years old, her name is Rebecca, and she talks, but not sure about what kind of bird or her origins. Amazon could be though
