What fascinates me about iSIM is IMSI switch. Basically a SIM in an integrated SoC chip. IIUC..
- primarily IoT for now, smartphones later
- with eSIM easier to switch between providers, with iSIM it is supposed to be possible to be connected to multiple at the same time
- the advantage is supposed to be the identity in Secure Element
- and then the marketing fog of security mentions
So what are the security&privacy benefits?

Is there a way to follow communities at https://habla.news/c ?
Is there already a local-first app for Mastodon, Bluesky and Nostr?
https://www.inkandswitch.com/local-first/#seven-ideals-for-local-first-software
Most of the bots I am experiencing yet at Bluesky were follow bots. Here at Nostr, mostly crypto scams.

It's early to interpret this, given that it's "just" a rules change, but they probably don't add it for no reason. I'm not really a fan of changes like this. The question may be whether the user will have a choice and what the consequences of such a choice will be.

I tend to avoid Win 11, even though I know it runs in Virtualbox. I needed to test application compatibilities. I haven't come across anything significant that doesn't work.
So what Win11 is full of is all sorts of OutOfTheBox spyware. Even after a clean install, there is a lot to clean up. W10Privacy app seems to be compatible.
Now, I have tested that Win11 can run in Linux KVM virtualization.
- swtmp-tools installed
- VirtIO drivers for everything
- TPM emulated, TIS, 2.0 enabled in virt-manager
- virtual HW profile with Q35 chipset and UEFI with OVMF bootloader
If anything, it is a nice configuration hack when using the Aurora store on Android, it's turning on the Play Store URL opening association by Aurora.
Lately, Google has been pretty much preventing anonymous accounts from working, so, for example, search doesn't work reliably in Aurora. But a link to a specific app in the Play Store can be Googled and clicked through to open in Aurora.
Similarly, you can open all YouTube links in NewPipe.

Do streaming services spoil the quality of the audio recording?
Or the record companies?
Can the audio be traced back to its origin if it is stamped?

In summary, VPNs are a delegation of trust to another entity.
I was a bit worried that the linked text would be a "VPNs don't solve anything" criticism, but after listing the negatives, it fortunately mentions some benefits.

From reading: tweeted #bluesky invitations are, in many cases, eaten by bots. 🤔
I don't hold out much hope that Elmo will do anything about it.

Which app or extension do you use? Alternatives seem to exist, so there are plenty to choose from.
The search function with modifiers is coming to Mastodon.
This improvement has been awaited for a long time and is highly anticipated. It would be great to have it at Bluesky, also.

So, if there's one thing I don't like about Bluesky, it's the 300-character limit for a message. I can usually fit 500 characters on Mastodon. Nostr seems to be fine, also. :)
Do you support Signal financially?
There is a Molly client with features missing from Signal. And there are others.

Opinions on supporting alternatives?
Of course, anyone who wants to can support both. I'm interested in arguments I might not have thought of.
