The message itself does not contain the IP address. When you connect to a relay they have your IP, just like connecting to a Fediverse server.
The bridge doesn't support DMs. Also, read my bio.
In Ditto it works exactly like Pleroma except users can log into any instance with their same credentials. You're still the admin, you can still moderate content.
???

What is your question even about? ActivityPub? Nostr?
Sounds accurate.
I see the problems with the graph, but it's limited by what mermaid can do. Feel free to play with it:
Yes and yes. The first part is optional - it's up to the client.
From the AP server's perspective, my graph is correct. You're philosophizing too much, write some code.
nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6 representing the AP federation API as a singular monolithic node here is misleading. every edge between AP servers represents each implementation of a federation API.
uninformed people are going to see this and think "duhh AP is centralized" are you on any psych meds?
Here's the graph you wanted, which I didn't post because it looks like incomprehensible chaos.

Same problem on ActivityPub, especially with all the server-level blocking that goes on.
Also an interesting thing about Nostr... is that you can take someone else's event and put it on a relay. So when a user replies to or reposts something, their client often does just that.
How ActivityPub works, and how Nostr works.

THERE IS A HOUSE IN NEW ORLEANS
To hate something is to love it with disappointment.
Remote posts older than 7 days will be deleted. S3 will be required for media uploads. It should scale okay, but it will matter a lot less when users can seamlessly move between servers. Aiming for small to medium sized. Should be able to accommodate Poast.
Agreed. And Ditto is designed to be a self-hosted community, so it would replace existing Mastodon servers. I'm really looking forward to building that part, but all this groundwork needs to be laid first.
Here, this is how Ditto works

Here's what I've been working on the past couple days: https://gitlab.com/soapbox-pub/ditto/-/merge_requests/5
- got kysely query builder working with Deno + SQLite
- created an sqlite event store
- index some tags under certain conditions
- implement NIP-01 relay filters (it's almost a relay)
- add functions for querying events and users
A user can be a member of multiple Ditto servers at the same time. Imagine you could have one account and log into both Gleasonator and Poast with it. That's the future.
Nostr fixes this.

I would kiss you goodnight.
