The only reason I would ever own gold is to prepare for huge economic crisis followed by war and mass electricity shortages.
in this case I can’t do shit with stocks (goldminer), gold bars or even Bitcoin.
One needs weapons, water, food and tiny gold coins for trade.
For every scenario thats less dramatic, Bitcoin works best.
In no scenario at all, gold bars are of any use.
Owning gold only makes sense if you have it in the form of coins.
When I first heard about the following Initiative I also thought it would be confusing to use the ₿ as the sats symbol:
But if you think about it for a second it makes sense. No one ever would assume, that someone paid such a huge amount of Bitcoin for accommodation. So as purchasing power increases (and the need to talk about sats instead of Bitcoin), lets use the most recognized symbol in our day to day lives. No normie in the world knows what the kebap symbol stands for, so why should we rebrand something that’s already understood by most?
Now that being said, I’m going for a breakfast. Over here it only costs 10.000 ₿ and it’s super delicious 👌
