Happy to announce that I, along with nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qythwumn8ghj7anfw3hhytnwdaehgu339e3k7mf0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qpqgcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewq0yufff and nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tcqyp7tz0x7qecwty8s9jlfag8u78s9ak79ej9yp9e3lf2rv3qps8836wkpz4u , have been jointly awarded a 1 BTC bounty from the HRF for our work on NIP 17 DMs.
From hrfbounties.org:
> Update: 1 BTC of this bounty has been claimed by Martti Malmi for his work incorporating this functionality into Iris. The remaining 1 BTC has been awarded to Vitor Pamplona, hodlbod, and Paul Miller for their work on NIP-17. Paul Miller redirected his bounty to opensats in order to have his open-source libraries audited.
I'm still figuring out what I want to do with this money — it's too little to allow me to really hire someone for Coracle, but enough to maybe get some work done. So if you have a strong background in nostr and/or web development and would like to do some contracting, please get in touch.
For now, I've gone ahead and donated 5MM sats each to coincenter.org and p2prights.org to help them fight the criminalization of financial privacy in the courts. Appealing to the state is not really a solution to its overreach, but I think it's still an important place to advocate in a visible way for our rights.
congrats 🎉

He has both offered and invited collaboration, and is committed to getting it done — not only by writing a spec, but actually by contributing code to libraries and clients to bring support along. Absolutely possible, nostrmo and 0xchat have already implemented this feature.
Nip it!

I sent some messages using 0xchat to other user not using 0xchat and the person didn't receive. But when I tried to send using Primal, it worked. Do you have any idea why?

We use gift-wrapped DMs (NIP-17) by default, which may not be supported by other clients yet. Currently, Amethyst and Coracle support NIP-17 DMs.
If you use 0xchat, you can claim npub ecash directly into your ecash wallet, then use this balance to pay.
It's now a reality on 0xchat: zap other users' npub.cash addresses, claim npub.cash ecash directly to your wallet, then use your ecash balance to zap other users.
Hey everyone, exciting news! Starting today, nostr:npub10pensatlcfwktnvjjw2dtem38n6rvw8g6fv73h84cuacxn4c28eqyfn34f is supporting my work on npub.cash 🧡
I’m incredibly grateful and honored for this opportunity. It means a lot that the board recognizes the dedication I’ve put into npub.cash and believes in its vision.
As someone who’s been part of this journey for just a few years, this support and acknowledgement truly means a lot to me.
This grant not only provides financial backing but also validates the potential impact npub.cash can make. With this, I’m excited to take npub.cash to new heights. Thank you for everything! 💜
Congrats! Every Nostr client should use npub.cash as the default LN address
Nostrudel displays this in a very nice tiled way, in a smooth grid instead of a big vertical column.
How about this display layout? 😄Click on the images to expand and slide to view more than 9 pics
You just need to enter the 0xChat wallet, and it will automatically check the balance of npub.cash. It has nothing to do with the clipboard
If you are using Android, you can log in with Amber without pasting nsec. But unfortunately, there is currently no similar Nostr signer app for iOS 😩
#0xchat v1.2.8 now supports npub.cash addresses. If the one you zap to doesn’t set an lnurl address, we’ll directly use the npub.cash address as the payment address.
And once you go to the “wallet,” it will automatically check your ecash balance from npub.cash and show a dialog to claim it.
Enjoy! 😉

nip17 with alias key could achieve an effect similar to the double-ratchet algorithm imo

Oh wow, #0xchat v1.2.8 with zap feature has been approved by the Apple Store. Zaps back to iOS?

Better if we can use npub as the payment address.
